Hello

I'm having horrible lags/freezes in Minecraft. World just runs smoothly, but after the short time it starts to freeze for like 4-6 seconds later it unfreezes for 5-8 seconds and freezes again. I'm tired of this shit.

When I had my old pc, with windows xp, it was perfect (maybe really really rarely it freezed for 1 time and for 2 seconds. I could live with that) Then I installed windows 7 (x32) and it lagged like hell.

Old PC Specs:

• Processor: 2,2 GHz Dual Core Intel Core2Duo.
• GPU: Club3D Nvidia GeForce GT240 512Mb
• RAM: 2Gb
• HDD: 400GB

Now, I got new PC with Windows 7 (even x64) it still lags like the previous PC.

New PC Specs:

• Processor: Intel i5 2500k 3,3GHz Quad Core
• GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX560Ti 1GB
• RAM: 8Gb
• HDD: 1TB

Okay, guys, if you don't know how to help DON'T POST HERE

Thanks,

Syndicate

Try installing optifine
If that still doesnt work than
try to reduce the quality of the graphics.
So set everything to low.

Did you allow the Java Virtual Machine to use more memory? Google for it and you will find out how to do that. Minecraft uses a lot of memory so this is a very important thing to do.

Thanks DC, this really helped. First of all I had 32 Bit installation of Java. And then i saw in forums how to allocate more memory like you said. But the bad thing is i now have to launch Minecraft through batch file.

Thanks for the help.
