Get the 6XXX series, they're a lot better.
The one with best cost-benefit ratio is the ATI Radeon HD6950, which is the one i actually use.
The older ones are too weak, and the newer ones are way too expensive comparing to the HD6950 and are not that better.

Anyway, i am dealing with some problems with that video-card as you can see, but it always used to run games at Ultra settings smoothly (70FPS+) such as Skyrim and the laggy Minecraft, it's the best choice and i would totally buy it again.

If you don't care about price then get GeForce's latest releases or try the cross-fire platform with ATI ones.

No.
Also, you can't use different GPUs at the same time. You need them both to be the same manufacturer and model in order to make them work together. If you use a Radeon and an Nvidia at the same time, you will only be able to switch between them, and not use them simultaneously.

ATI is shit, buy NVIDIA.
Not sure if trolling or just a fanboy.

Btw It all depends on how much money you want to spend, and which tyoe of games you want to play (high, medium or poor graphics). I'm getting a Radeon HD6670 for $80.

ATI graphic cards are barely compatible with Linux. In the same time, both Intel and NVIDIA win in performance and price.
