Piranas and sharks also drop fish meats. Piranas are easy to kill with a knife in 2 hits. On the other hand sharks are hard to handle, bait them near the shore them shoot them with a bow. They drop a LOT of meat, maybe too much? worth it reguardless.

---

Arbalest use bolt as ammunition but bolts have no "Damage" on it. Turn out they hurt more than a longbow with iron arrows.

---

Something totally ridiculous i just realized. You can trade 5 goldnuggets to the pirate for 7 gold pieces

OR

Turn thoses 5 goldnuggets into 10 gold pieces

OR

Use 1 knife, 4 goldnuggets and 2 cord to make a gold necklace and sell it for like 100 gold.

I think the pirate need some balancing!

Data,
Hey thanks for all your input, and great idea to add clay to the shovel prospecting. Your correct, you can extinct clay if you destroy it all. I have added this to my To-Do list on page 1. Thank you!

Quote
Hyper,
I will also balance the meats a bit better, I like your input, but I feel the small raw meat is already in abundance. Cutting the large meat into "more" smaller pieces only adds to this "end" abundance.

Yes it does need more balance along with the fish meats too, but consider also what you can make with the different meats too. A Cheese Philly Steak Burger is the top of the line food, reducing your hunger and thirst bars 100%...so the 1 steak from the large meat is a reason for cutting it so. While the large meat it's self can be made into a pot of stew that is second to a Cheese Philly. But yes I will consider your list and enhance the meats further.

Quote
Lonely,
Yes you get less gold to simply trade nuggets with him because it's easy, while your reward for forging it your self is more coins for the 5 nuggets. Jewelry is valuable to the pirate yes...he like homemade jewelry he cannot find anywhere else. I will tweak him a bit by end game though.

To All,
Here's a snapshot of the new beehive and new stuff with it.
IMG:https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/cd6f/2pt64x1lrl4tatt6g.jpg

Beehive in the Tree, an a close-up showing some bees near it.

1)Hive+Kife=HoneyComb -eating any honey items adds a small dose to health and less to hunger, and almost nothing for thirst.

2)HoneyComb+Stone=Beeswax and Honey -You must have an empty bottle on you or you lose the honey...just like losing the milk from a coconut.

3)Drinking honey gives most health, honeycomb is less, and a tiny boost from beeswax. I plan to incorperate honey into a few current food items and maybe 1 special reason to go through all the work to aquire it...if I can think of one. I know of only candles or soap can be made from beeswax in real life. Welcome any more ideas.

4)You will see a few bees around the map in general...all bees are hostile and will sting you -0.5 per sting...thats tiny tiny...more of an annoyance really. But messing with the beehive? That is always dangerous...don't say i didn't warn yeah.

One last note about the beehive...it will be very very rare to come across...it is a lone redwood tree of darker color and a ton of health. So if you find a red wood you can not seem to bring down...it's prolly this beehive tree. Only 1 will spawn on any given map. It will only spawn a hive about once every 10-14 days. It's "bee-count" is chosen by random from 9-18 bees. The bees also all die as "insects". (can be eaten or used for fishing).

P.S. I may also make it so you can put a beehive into a new building model for Bee-Keeping. You may be able to breed bees and produce honey & items for trading in the upcoming native-relationships with any natives on the Island...except the mean hostile tribe (see: To-Do List on page 1)

------------------------

Thank you all for your input and feedback and helping me finds any bugs. I appreciate it!

Hey JJ for the construction of Lure's, claws are needed. Which really isn't easy to obtain, and having to need 10 is hard enough. Would it be possible to make a more mats possible than just claws. Maybe bones, or iron/steel, branches, ect... Also how do i find/get hemp? hehe

I made a lantern. It lasted quite a while which does make it usefull. After the oil run out the lantern went back into many pieces. Base, dome. The problem is the base went back to "Soft clay" instead of heated one.

I suggest changing the crafting here. Let's make the lantern itself first by using base+dome+cord = One lantern
then to light it up it would need to be Lantern + oil Or Lantern + (That corn oil which i forgot the name). I think it would be less annoying for players that way.

---

Crafting 10 clay bottles only give the players 1 level instead of 10.

---

There's no indicator in the forging skills descriptions as of when you reach a certain rank, (50 and 125 i believe) that add more spaces on your forge. Also the forge is very annoying to sprinkle coal dust to turn soft iron into steel. I have to move around a lot and "Guess" where to sprinkle it to actually "hit" the ore itself.

---

It is possible to actually add an alert message or make the pirate appear on your map when the pirate is visiting?

---

How about adding a time for the items that goes into the forge, fire, torches. It could go into the description.
Exemple: Branch will burn for 10 seconds.
Oil for 25 seconds.
Coal nugget for 50 seconds.

That would it would be easier to know how many you need to add into the fire to cook or heat up your food/iron without wasting them.

---
You can make the gold hammer directly after making the steel hammer since the gold hammer doesn't require a steel bar anymore.

--- so tired, i forgot the other things i wanted to add here.

old Typo

Hey just found a typeo lol... When you get salt from distiller under properties it says, -50 thirst, it should be +50

^Yep I the same problem with the coal dust.

I also just hit.. well I think it was.. 100 planting.. maybe it was 75, I forget, and it said "Skill up". Looked in the book and I don't even reach a 'milestone' at that level.
Edit: Im pretty sure it was 125 planting that gave me the ding.

The dry coco tooltip explains "A little bit of this with dough... can make cookies". I just found it misleading as I actually had to melt it first into chocolate, And even the chocolate tooltip doesn't explain that can be used with dough. May I suggest move the above quote tooltip to the chocolate, and add somewhere in dry coco tooltip that it can be melted into chocolate.

Lonley, you have to reach a certain level to unlock the greenhouse in the building menu. Im pretty sure it's about 125.

What do I need to unlock the water trough?? It's not in my build menu, and I had no idea how I got it on my last game... Im just going to guess 200 forging?? haha

That's a bit of a problem for me if that's the case. When I started this game on medium first time, I forgot I had to water crops, and they died. There was only 1 wheat plant on the whole island... so do you know if the pirate sells more... or do I have to hope to find it in a water crate? Maybe allowing the pirate to sell seeds for those who have lost all of a kind, just a suggestion, don't know if its fair lol.

Also... I do know this next question isn't really Mod related... But do you know where I can get hemp from? I've never seen it anywhere.

Hemp in this game is a joke. It doesn't bring a single positive thing when you make a joint out of it and use it.
The hemp "tree" is actually a small ronce that come out of the ground with 2-3 hemps leaves on it. if you see one just destroy it and you'll get like some hemp.

---

I'm not sure about the seed part but yeah try building things you don't have yet.

---

Is the game playable in fullscreen only?

old next UPDATE release date has been posted.

hey guys,

If i miss anything please ask again...ill try to cover everything in one answer

typo in salt -50 thirst. fixed √ ty

lantern returning soft base "after sleeping". fixed √ ty

The hemp plant looks kinda like bamboo, darker with 5 pointed leaf, leaves. Hit to get hemp leaves that can be planted or smoked.

the greenhouse unlocks at planting skill 125. added to the skills description. fixed. √

to make grain seeds...select the wheat and click USE to the left of the EAT button. Just like searching Bark for insects, or turning a liver into a waterskin...only your simply raking the seeds off the wheat stem.

The forge only ever held 4 pieces...I still need to fix that or I will change the descriptions.

Yes the game can be played in "window" mode...just double click the other Icon in the same folder ending in -win...to start your game.

Just playing the game is testing everything...no i have nothing particular I want anyone to test. Just play and keep reporting. Thank you guys very very much for feedback.

hemp is not very useful in the game now, but will be more-so before end game. Can be traded for coins to the pirate too.

-------------
the ideas are great! I usually pick and chose from what is posted as a whole. Even when I do not reply to your idea...know that i read it and consider what everyone posts. It sometimes takes me a while to get to it.

like the bees...mentioned long ago on 2 different occasions, now fully implamented.

Thank you for your guys continued support in making this mod better and more fun.

p.s. The next UPDATE release date has been posted. See:To-Do list at the top of page 1.

A pleasure Jas. Looking forward the next update. Nice job on the beehive and fishing "range". Should add more challenge to the game!

---

Something else weird that i have noticed.
The oil we extract from the fat weight more than the fat itself.
fat = 50g
oil = 200g

---

Another idea too. We could remove the "Healing when sleeping" when sleeping under a tent/house/shelter but then add beds to the game. Which would require some skin and a lot of feathers.

That could also give a purpose to the hammock.
Hammock could give minor healing, like 3 points per hour.
small bed could give medium healing, like 5 points per hours.
Huge bed with pillows could give huge healing, like 8 points per hours.
Sleeping without any kind of hammock or bed under a shelter would not heal at all.

(thoses are just exemples).

Could also lower the healing potions from the natives since they heal way too much.

---

It's really a problem, i play on hard mode on a big island all the time. i often make new games for the fun of it.
It's incredibly hard at first but if you manage to survive a few days and get some bow and a fishing rod then the game become too easy. well that's my opinion!

---

Not sure if this fit the idea of the game.
Maybe we could add an Alchemist skills.
Turn things like mushrooms, plants and butterflies into potions with a purpose.

I know the pirate already sell some but we could craft them too.

Potion of speeds, damage, defense, luck? Things like that!

i agree about healing potions. I have reduced their healing from 30 seconds, down to 10 seconds.

I love the idea for healing while using a bed or hammock. I think I will take away healing while sleeping, and keep damage if your not covered while sleeping....then you can heal yourself by laying in bed or a hammock. It would be a very slow healing though.

that is really cool!

fixed the oil vs fat weight. fixed √

Can we actually plan the goldherb to produce more?
if we can't then i think the "5 goldherb" to make 1 gold stepstone is really costly.

I don't always see a goldherb per game, so finding 5 is literally impossible.

---

What is the purpose of the garden exactly? if it doesn't have any maybe we could have it produce "bugs"?
Or maybe plans of some sort.(various things in this game aren't explained clearly! lol)

---

It's weird that the forge require woof leaves and stones but doesn't require Iron to produce the Anvil itself.

---

I think the hut would be more usefull if it was a bit bigger. It has barely enough space for the forge itself.

If you do use that idea with the beds then you could remove the one that is inside the wooden house. Maybe make the wooden house bigger too?

could also literally put lanterns inside houses as a light source or anywhere with a "Hook". Chandellier perharps?

---

Sheeps produce way too much milk. I got 8 sheeps right now, they can make hold up to 4 bottles of milk. Can't get thirsty at all no matter what happen!

---

Iron machete: +8 damage, +20 Damage on flesh.
Steel machete: +18 damage.

---
My survivor skill is 400. If i sleep outside without a shelter i heal more than taking damage.

---
By the way data, you will find crates around the island randomly as the days goes on. Some of them do have wheat along with other foods and material, so don't give up and explore a lot!

---
Since we can make clothes, why not also craft a backpack to increase our maximum carrying capacity? could be limited to one!

the garden spawns butterflies...the herbal garden grows all the herbs...including the goldherb...you can grow much goldherb by weeding out the other herbs when they are small...unless you want a variety, then let them grow without weeding out a particular one.

some things that seem to over produce currently will be reduced when I implement the "Event Units" ability to loot your supplies and destroy your buildings unless you can fend them off...they will be animal specific to foods or native related...like the bear will loot fish, the monkey bananas, the wolves meats, and the natives will attack your structures OR supplies at random.

so many things seem unbalanced because they are...but that will change before the mod is finished...not far to go really considering its been going on near 2 years now.

oh yes...the palisade walls will be appreciated then

Could you please add the option to make multiple poison goo when using stone with... earthroot was it? And if possible, the wool into chords. Just annoying having to sit there spamming E like 24 times and waiting.another good idea is reduced prospecting time at higher levels, similar to 200 planting. Which skill actually inproves prospecting chance. Os it digging or mining? I also think the ability to make different strength poisons and/or even diseases would be epic. I'd love to work hardish to make a strong poison I can save for the 1 hard mob. Also possibly stacking poison applications onsame target??

Im using steel machete, tool tip says it can separate bark from trees. But it really doesn't seem to work well at all. About 20 swings and not 1 bark. Am I doing something wrong?
