I'm getting this strange lag about 1-2 weeks ago where gameplay is perfectly normal. My ping is stable and my fps is steady at 50.
What's different about the lag I'm getting is that everything and everyone is still moving/running/shooting around me but I can't reload, buy, pickup or drop anything. I can still move around, I can run across the entire map shooting the heck out of someone, but suddenly get pulled back to where I was 10 seconds ago.
I've had a time where I was CT on de_dust and I threw a smoke in the tunnel area, but got pulled back to CT spawn immediately afterward, but my smoke was right where I thrown it. Other time, I would throw a grenade at an enemy (and it shows too) but get pulled back somewhere else and the nade in the same angle as I thrown it, but no where near the location I thrown it at.

It's very hard to explain or troubleshoot for me because I get no ping spikes or lag issues as stated before. I cannot tell when this is happening until I can't seem to reload or people 'ignore' my presence in-game.

If there's any idea or possible solution to this please feel free to tell me. I'm starting to feel desperate as it is affecting my gameplay drastically.

it's because of your ping. I used to have it everytime, ;P.

It depends on your connection (probably). I used to have ping ~50ms, but sometimes, I don´t why, it was ~15000ms

Cs2d is fucked up when it comes to connection stuff.

This is not true.

Join servers on which you know you won't lag. That's what the ping state on the right is for.

Please don't post crap like that again.

As I said my ping is stable, I can press 'tab' whenever that happens and my ping is stable at 50-60.

When ping spikes, everyone stops moving except you.
But my problem is everyone and everything is still moving as if nothing happens but I can't reload or do anything and appear frozen to others.

It happended to me bro, it might be your net.
try to use "slow" or "average", if it keeps spiking like that, then i don't know

Having everything frozen but yourself is normal for spikes. However having everyone else active but you yourself immobile is strange.

I say this because if you disable your internet (or use a lag switch), you will still be able to move, there isn't an instant where you shouldn't be able to.

I'd recommend a fresh install of CS2D.

This is what they say when they don't know the answer. This will not help him and we both know that.

@ Yates: Explain why so many people are always complaining about lag and connection lost.
It might be good for those with super connection +20 mb and lives in a country where net is very stable, DC has a super connection and lives in germany so I can't blame him if he couldn't find a solution for this problem.

I think the same thing happened to me when I connected to my VPN while being in-game

I use to have this in my server. It's a server connection bug when the server can't retrieve back information, and it freezes everyone. Log out of the server then come back to fix the problem. If your still having problems, i wouldn't go back to the server.

EDIT: Or it can be caused by lag. I use to have this problem. Make sure you close out everything except for cs2d. And don't run anything while playing the game. It can cause it to lag.

This use to happen to me all the time but not much anymore and well I think its just the connection or something similar.

I had to compress the video quite a bit so please forgive any artifacts.

This would happen to me at times, But usually it would happen when i lag during gaming. I think its your net connection or someone else is using your net while you use it.

Best way to get rid of this is either

Restart your computer(Dunno if it works :D)

Reset Your internet connection

Remove All other programs running except cs2d

make the ping stable

Those are my 4 (In theory) possible solutions.
I too get this lag (But in Another game called Minecraft)
Its very anoyying because it repeats again and again,
but sometimes it's actually the server your playing on.
some servers have good connections some have bad
try playing on other servers

i called my ISP and they sent some guy here to look up my internet connection, they concluded something was up with the internet in my local area and said they need a few days min to solve the problem.
