Well guys, the newest and one of the shittiest updates are here !
Please, tell me your thoughts on the new update. If you like it or not, if you think that this is a good change or not.
I personaly think that forcing us youtubers to use Google+ is just a shitty idea. It's not like anyone wants to use some shitty social networks.
Also, you can sign this petetion if you're against it.

I hate the new Youtube. They keep updating and Youtube doesn't see our comments. Why are they doing bad updates? Guess they're bored.

8090 dislikes on the video, heck yea! I hate the updates, they just add useless stuff like new layouts and displays, but they ignore the glitches and bugs that are on Youtube.
I, as usual, do not give a fuck. It's not like I'm going to use the comments anyway.
Hey, let's ask +KimKat what he thinks, he must have quite a TL;DR opinion on this. Oh wait, I don't care.

Admin/mod comment:

Oh yeah, people being mad about progress again! EVERYTHING NEW IS SO SHITTY! I WANT MY OLD WEB1.0 BACK! (attention, this last sentence was not what I think but how most people who are against it sound to me)

Well, sorry, but youtube belongs to google and they are allowed to merge accounts as much as they like. Additionally, you don't have to use google+ just because youtube comments can use it. You can just ignore google+, the same way you've done it before.I personaly think that forcing us youtubers to use Google+ is just a shitty idea

I personally liked most of the new layouts. And they are not useless. You really, really don't want to use websites with old layouts anymore. It's just annoying. they just add useless stuff like new layouts

I really hope they change it back, I've never liked google+, they're trying so hard to make it successful.

ohaz: New layouts suck because bugs come with it.

I lol'd at "See comments you care about up top" as if I care about what someone on YouTube has to say about anything. Looks like another useless update, no surprise there.
in case nobody observed...you can't replay to users that don't have their account linked to googleshit+, also you can't like/dislike their comments
they added the most shitty useless selection menu ever, the one after the reply box (contains "top comments" and "newest first"). the selection by default is top comments, so if you want to see who commented, you need to MANUALLY select "newest first", wich is very damn annoying.
then there are no tutorials about the new changes. i simply can't understand where i can find some things, that in the old format was very very easy to be found. for ex the inbox, it was located in the top right menu, when you click on your username...now it is gone.
the "also share on shit+" check box is also annoying, together with the share bar(idk how it's called, the box under the reply box, in wich you specifie idk what- default is public)
when i click on the switch account button, i have 3 accounts listed... again there is no way to remove them (easy way, cuz i didn't found anything in the settings)
then why is there a google notification button, if i am on youtube? another annoying thing
i know that most of these things are not new, but for me, they are new cuz i don't used shit+ before

sorry, but I feel like you always use this argument to smack people with when this happens, to the point where they dont want to argue anymore, although they mostly have good and valid points against the layout changes.
just in case you havent noticed them yet these are some:

e.g. there are these people who write something completely unrelated to any comment like "yes, I know, but check this out: [some tinyurl link where you have to replace DOT with .]!" where the first part is there to get you reading and the link ultimately leads to some virus-infested website. and while earlier this would just have gotten marked as spam and replied to with "can I get my free virus in blue, please?", I'm sure being able to place actual links will lead to many more victims to these traps.
and these are just a few examples I found within a short time, I'm sure there's plenty more.
so dont go around and claim that every single change always under all circumstances is something absolutely positive. the saying "never touch a running system" is there for a reason!

I also like the old Youtube design and system better. I´ve accepted the new channel layout (although the one before was way better) but when I discovered this Google+ force today I was pretty annoyed.
Like
Hurri04 already said the old comment system prevented many kinds of spam and it was an easy system. The design of it was also much better. Now I have to use Google+ which I don´t like (because I don´t like social networks in general). Youtube and Google+ have nothing in common so they shouldn´t be linked.
I think Google only did it to increase their earnings from Google+ and the best way to do so is to create accounts for every Youtuber. It was just a matter of time; the last days Youtube asked me every day if I want to connect my Youtube account with Google+...

Snark: I still have my YT profile as an addition to autocreated g+ profile. I was asked several times whether to "upgrade" my YT account.
On topic: Comments were always the weakest part of YT. I can't say they were better in the past:
1) + 2 best rated comments
2) +/- All comments posted by uploader are highlighted (on the top)
3) - conversations were complicated to follow
4) - A lot of useless comments / displaying only the latest one
5) - (almost impossible?) to get into best rated comments without multiple accs
6) - cannot lookup my previously posted comments / no favorites
Now:
1) - No one knows how the (by default displayed) best comments got into "best comments"
2) +/- The same.
3) + You see only the first one (as on facebook). Displaying the latest ones to have a quick overview of the whole conversation? [possible improvement]
4) +/- You see better comments by default now, but I still don't feel like I want to read any of them
5) - Removing that feature is not the solucian
6) - idk Timeline? If so, still not user-friendly enough > also you need to have a g+ profile/page attached too your YT acc
7) +/- every comment has a permanent link, no highlight though
Conclusion: Ain't much better now, but there's a hope.

2012 was actually fine but 09 and 10 are okay aswell
the only thing that I actually don't like atm. are the comments and the video response also the linking google + with the youtube account and asking us witch we want to use.

So, I'm going to add my argumentation now:
+Comment chains were really hard to follow in the last layout. it's awesome now! One click and you can see the whole conversation.
+Comment limit removed is awesome too. Might be that some users use it to spam, but it can also lead to better conversations between users - more words = more content.
+Being able to switch between (more than 2!) top comments and Newest first is a nice feature. Now you don't have to look through all the comments to see the 3rd best comment.
+/-Translate Button: The translate button is a valid point
Hurri04, but still, it has its uses. Even if you're able to understand most comments, sometimes there might be 2 sentences in it which you don't quite understand (especially since you and me are talking about A-level people most of the time, I've seen a lot people who use the internet but have no clue about english. Even in germany). And even if the google translation isn't perfect and sometimes translates utter bullshit, most of the time it's good enough to understand what the text is about.
@Bugs topic: New stuff always brings new bugs. It also removes some old bugs. Bugs get fixed.
@Abuse of links: They will still get downvoted. Nothing changed.

I also wasn't to happy about the update but mainly because I got forced into G+ - a failed social media page - which I didn't want to use.
So as of today I connected a G+ to my YT Account as I wouldn't be able to use the comments part of YT otherwise.
The good and the bad
-- The totally fucked up the interaction with the old comments, there was a really "hard cut" but maybe it was necessary. But still a big screw-up which shouldn't happen
+ The old comment chains were trash, the new system is better, but it still doesn't use a full tree structure (?) like reddit, Geizhals...
-There is no longer an easy to use inbox for PM, comment notification. If I'm not totally wrong you recieve mails now, which is pretty much useless spam for me I don't want to use. But I really have to check out all the new functions to be for sure.
+You can post longer commens for example, if you want to post the script of Braveheart. But yes it is an improvement, there is no need to post 2 or 3 comments anymore, which also fucked up the old chain comment system.
+/- You are able to post links, which isn't that bad, but ofcourse it could and will be abused. But if you are somehow smart you won't get a virus, get tricked by spam. Otherwise you shouldn't be allowed to use the internet.
+ You are able to use a BB-Code like system for comments. They should maybe add a WYSIWYG editor for unexperienced users.
-For the love of god, I don't wanna see anymore dicks, vaginas or Hitlers. This isn't twitch. I repeat. This isn't Twitch.
+The translation system is a nice addon, but I won't use it. Even thought I know that my English is horribly bad.
And come on, people don't like changes even if they are good. There are still people complaining that they want the useless 5 star rating back.
The new system is better, and two clicks don't take too long. Although it would be nice to add a setting to change the default.
Yes it has no advantage, but it shouldn't confuse someone who knows social media. And someone who is new to the internet, may also not know the use of @ / YOu could argue that @ is better because of the pronouncation, but I am not 100 % sure and I haven't read any case studie. But ofcourse it is mainly marketing driven in my opinion.
There where only 2 best rated comments, which were mostly trash / spam comments anyway.
Did you know the algorithm of the old system? I only know that it was a mixture between thumbs up and time
//EDIT: OK, someone just answered on one of my test comments, and I have to say the new notification system is a HUGE improvement. Good job Google.

instead of using the @ sign to refer to someone some of their "marketing experts" must have thought that this just wasnt sticky enough for people to remember when google wants to promote google+ so they changed it so you now refer to someone by writing e.g. +ohaz. this has no advantage and is just confusing to everyone who sees this for the first time now.

well two clicks don't take too much (2 sec), but if you use youtube regulary, these "two clicks" will become very very damn annoying...why should i do the same thing for every single video i watch?
they are forcing us to connect youtube accounts to shit+, just because shit+ was a big fail social media...

Now I can't use my old profile.
Fuck Google+.
Fuck Google+.
Am I the only one who likes Google+? Anyway, I do agree it is stupid to force users to have a Google+ setup to use YouTube, Google should let it be it's own entity and only merge accounts if people want to..
