Apfelbrot Why do you think he'll be banned just because he said something true about those people crashing other people servers ?
So eweryone can do this right now.. If you want to stop this crap use yates lua, its working fine. But i see a lot of people better talk oftopic, than fix the bug.

DaanD10: That stuff is intended to happen. It basically get new information about your server and adds that to U.S.G.N. master serverlist. Such as name of server, players on the server, game mode and so forth. That's why the UPDATE-request is performed frequently in short periods of time. If the server is closing down alot that's possibly due to hackers who floods the servers in order to crash it. I've experienced quite a few server crashes myself, so I think that's what happens and hope there will be new flood protections in the near future to prevent this from happening as it destroys the gameplay a whole lot when this occurs.

VaiN: What I ment was the server UPDATE-requests, I thought I was clear on that already. To protect a server from attacks I'd suggest updating to latest possible patches for both web server and OS to reduce attack vectors and plausability to be exploited by some malicious code. I also would recommend setting up iptables to prevent hackers from being able to the access the server if abuse is found to be happening. That should at least reduce the risk of becoming a victim, so remember to stay up-to-date and don't complain if your PC or VPS is running without latest security patches just saying it's time to get real and be aware instead of being lazy not to fix things.
