If you want to identify the website as small and independent then what about something like bird-company (Bird Company Gaming Network, lol)? I know its a bad name but you get the idea (bird= small, independent)

Well, technically there is not "software" in the name.
It can be read as dream soft or dream software (software as enjoyable as a good dream).
Because of those interpretations it shouldn't be hard to find a good logo.
It's probably not as funny as DC wants though.

I do like weirdpals.com but in my opinion this is too ambiguous for DC's purpose.

The idea about the mad scientist is pretty cool. There's definitely potential for a funny and suitable name (considering DC's avatar etc.) but it probably shouldn't contain anything negative like "mad".

Schaussspiele, just for the triple s, although I guess the german-ness of the name is kinda off putting.

P.S Games might be neat. (And psgames.com is still available!)

Schaussspiele might be weird for non-Gemans (and therefore hard to memorize). Furthermore DC already said that he doesn't want an egocentric domain.

PSgames might be confused with "playstation games".
