It's not competitive at all, competitive scene is dead since 2013.
All league servers are uncared of and unstable, different settings on every one of them effecting gameplay. Moreover, you won't be able to play your match unless you know an admin or are one yourself because they are unorganized as fck.

You will most likely play with random rules instead of tournament because no one cares.

No one cares about cheating either because only ~20 people are still playing this game and thinks they know each other.


Also funny thing is, people host 10 empty unusable "competitive" servers (unless you are admin) and zero well organized servers for construction or aim maps

My only hope is that someone smart will start hosting decent servers after Simonas improves the game. Until then, R.I.P.

Construction would be just a nice addition to what you don't have.

Indeed, that's why I'm saying it after I played in every server enough to notice the usual mess left by admins and poor settings that affect gameplay. Also, go check the serverlist yourself and see if you can find more than 5 players in game.

The only way to make the game attractive again would be to host servers and start a new community (it will never happen).

Well, I could give you an example server which is ours but I can't since it'd be an advertisement. Check the PM, I'll send you an IP address.

I honestly don't think that "competitive" cs2d will ever return. The problem with that is that most people who used to compete got either tired of the game or got to a certain age where other things in life become more important so they don't want to/ can invest as much time into it to make it look like a competition. If u think back at times when DoD dominated because they were really dedicated and played every day for a couple of hours, that was in my definition of "being competitive". Now the game is just played by either new players or older players for the fun of it and because of the memories, but that's just my opinion. Good luck anyways.

The reason is that 2D has no competitive community. PCS was always a joke and it is now more than ever with illiterate admins who don't even know how to organize their servers.

If you are new to the game, you won't play a single mix match because you have to become admin to do so. And public servers suck so have fun with bots in single player

@ Quattro: You seem to hold a very negative outlook towards the state of the scene. Andrez post shows that it's not the case. Your dissatisfaction with how things are does not mean that they are "bad"/"dead" or whatever you want to call it. Your replies felt more like trashtalking than any meaningful insights.
I'd advise you to stop doing it as I see you came to post on multiple occasions on different days.
If you dislike something, try to improve it. If you can't or don't want, move on. Repeating same things over won't help anyone.

Maybe because the guy who hosted temporary servers with decent settings stopped hosting?

And here I see PCS admin preaching about imaginary activity. No one wants to play on pcs servers because of shit settings.
