I think in this case you have to cheat.

Well, I finally made it to island no3 via the teleport Stone
but when it teleported me, I appear to have "lost" 90% of all the stuff I was carrying.
(This question has probably been asked before), but .. why did this happen?
At least on the "pirate" island (no2) I found them laying around, so that was OK. I have searched (Found the golden bow + arrows) but cannot find my tools etc (and I really don't want to cheat.)
Also, where is there a source of water?
Will some kind soul take pity, and answer these questions before I "go nuts / die / whatever".

If not, then I cannot help you.
I only see it in *cheats - give item* (so out of curiosity I took it) but I cannot *use* it, or combine it with anything.
So what purpose does (or) did it serve? and in the game, where would one expect to find it? (without cheating it?)

a) Find a message *near the beach* .. Take it, and Use it.
b) You will THEN *get a message in a bottle* ... Yes? / No?

No, that isn't right in fact. It's a feature from the german extension mod. Because there actually was no further use for the message bottle we implemented that you'll find an empty bottle once you collect it. And that's why you'll need empty bottles for creating potions but there's no (simply) way to create one...
