I hate how simple the S2Script is. I keep having these crazy ideas and realizing I can implement a basic prototype in a few hours.

And thus we have real time mining. No, not "chip away at stone on island" mining, actual "dig through caves and shit" mining.

This will not make it into the next version, but maybe a version or two later.

Of course, the problem with prototypes is that fixing them up into a polished version takes forever. And the bugs... *shudder* So, with that in mind, it's back to bug fixing\polishing of real time cooking.

I have decided that as soon as rt-cooking is done I'll release a version to you all so it can be torn apart and bugs discovered.

I predict (don't hold me to this) in under 24 hours a new version of MM will be up.

EDIT:
So, here is the deal. Originally cooking worked by slowly changing the color of the food from raw to cooked, then from cooked to burnt. It did work btw. However, I scrapped it because it cluttered up the code like crazy and was more of a gimmick than anything else.

I have here the new version. Consider this a beta. You'll need to make new games, there are a bunch of changes between this version and the old MM, and a lot of deletions.

I am not responsible for any crashes you experience if you did not start a new game. Ok? So start up a new game, do not try and load an old save, ect.

Another note, this is incomplete, but I want to find out how many bugs are still in the cooking code for you guys to tear apart.

With that in mind, here is what the new system currently applies to:

Meat (the big one)
Small meat
Raw steak
Chocolate dough
Berry dough
tropica dough
coconut dough
banana dough
dough
raw fish
raw shark meat

For the items listed above you must cook them on a grill. The grill is built with the hammer, its under "production" and is unlocked when you make a fire.

To cook those items, take it in your hand, and toss it onto the grill. Meat, fish, and steak tend to take 30 seconds to cook, while shark meat and dough take around a minute to cook.

Note that you *can* cook multiple things at a time. You can toss some steaks on the grill, some bread dough, a few fish... Ect, and it will all cook.

Now for the first bug: when trying to make wine, the combination only works with clay bottles, and when I drink the whine the bottle turns to glass, which doesn't work to make wine again. Alchemy at its finest
edit: when I drink the water from [livers, spleens?] they disappear, oh and I can only drink from them once
edit2: shovel semi-professional doesn't work meaning digging still has times when I get nothing. Another thing:The only thing that I can uncover with the shovel is coal deposits, which I don't even know what is used for. And finally: how does prospecting work?
edit3: you should allow bamboo to be fed in a fire as well, and bark still doesn't work.
edit4: I was cooking some fish and it started raining. When that happened the fire went out but it still has smoke. Then I started taking out all the uncooked fish. It said "Ow! that burned! I need to recook that one" but the fish disappeared. The fire is still smoking after a couple of days.
edit5: what will the frying pan be used for now? And what can I use for healing except healing potions? Before all food provided a bit of healing, now I am at half health and nothing I have heals me, not even sleeping. Seems a bit harsh.

This grill thing is great Just took me a while to learn not to throw my food under it

For the other bugs you reported, I'll release a hot fix later today.

About the livers\spleens\ect, before they gave you "3" sips of water. You used them, were given another one, could use that one, then given a third, and only after drinking that were you given an empty liver\spleen\whatever.

It was rather gimmicky, and required 3 different objects\IDs\scripts per liver\spleen\ect. So I removed it and simply made the livers\spleens\ect give the same amount of water, but in one use.

Don't know why they disappear though, I'll look into it.

BUGS:
-Livers\spleens disappear when water is drunk from them. Fixed. √
-Wine only works with clay bottles, then wine turns to glass. Yay alchemy. Now to transmute lead into gold.
-Shovel semi-professional doesn't work.
-Shovel uncovers coal deposits.
-Bark doesn't work for fire, bamboo should.
-Fire + rain issues.
-Fish disappears when you grab it off the grill. Fixed. √
-Raw meat disappears when you grab it off the grill. Fixed. √
-Shark fin has no icon. ×

If any of you receive an error about a "virtual script", please print screen it and PM it to me. I *think* I stopped it from happening, but I'm not sure.

EDIT:
About the grill bugs. Any bugs related to grabbing stuff of the grill, (and it then disappearing) are because I used the wrong command. So please no more reporting that "xyz disappeared when I grabbed it off the grill!"

edit: the readme says the foraging skill goes up when harvesting plants , but I've never even had the skill...

*whisper* ...that's because it doesn't.

Also, yea, that is kind of how health will work. It's actually based off the Survivor skill.

EDIT:
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU. I just realized that I forget to put in the fix to one of the bugs. The survivor skill bug. *facepalm* Don't bother reporting that the skill goes up every time you load your game, I already know.

The "2.0" was an inside joke between a few friends and I. "3.0" is merely continuing the joke.

btw, great work!

When attack1 is detected it starts a loop that plays a succession of 7 frames (each frame a .bmp) in order to mimic an animation. Technically there are only 4 frames, the succession being 01, 02, 03, 04, 03, 02, 01.

The animation I made is actually rather crappy. Since I was trying to prototype it quickly I merely took this pickaxe image:

And based my frames off it (via distortion\skewing\perspective controls in Photoshop).

If I really wanted to make a good animation then I would take the actual pickaxe model and snap a few picks of it as if it were being swung.

And clay bottle disappeared when I was trying to get the coconut milk

Eh, sorry to bother you, but how exactly do I "use" this file? Not being able to heal with anything except healing potion is quite a bummer. Otherwise, kudos to you for making this mod!

Edit: And is it still possible to press water out of leaves? I'm having problems with that. Do I use leaves+stone? Or should I use glass bottle too?
