If you're gonna do that, then you might as well go the whole shebang! I'd say,
pebbles + hammer = aggregate (basic component of contrete)
aggregate + sand + water = concrete
It's a little more realistic.
mocnyfull has written
iron + hammer = iron sheet
That's already in someone's mod... So it should be quite easy for Builder to implement this.
mocnyfull has written
glass (see my prevous post) + clay brick + concrete + iron sheet = house
HAH! Seriously? Ok, how about Clay brick, concrete (mortar) + Iron sheet + Iron Rod (Foundations and structure) + clay tiles. You could go really mad and put cotton/wool in the walls as insulation.
Builder, I finally got the tooltip and memory problem sorted in SIIMV, so take a look and tell me what you think.
lol, lots of people are missing the impressions on this post, so I'll re'write it
you right, besides that, i have idea:
5xgrape+5xberries+5xbanana+1xstone=1xfruity rum powder
9xlog+26xnail=1xrum keg
build rum keg, after build it should be empty, put fruity rum powder into the keg, and then put 20xwater into the keg too,and it will be a fruity rum keg .
right now its only fuel, in next update im pretty sure you will need it to smelt steel
edit: actually i think it would be good idea to change forging some time in the future to better match evolution of metalmaking.
first people learned to smelt copper - its soft metal that doesnt need high temperature to smelt so forges fueled with wood woulc do it.
then people learned to smelt iron. its much harder metal that needs higher temperature as well, wood isnt enough to produce enough heat. charcoal or coal is needed.
finally people learned to smelt steel by removing carbon from iron in high temperature smelting (coal as fuel at least) and special forges.
now, as i would see forge evolution in stranded:
- level 1 - copper smelting. simple forge as we have now, wood as a fuel
- level 2 - iron and gold smelting. simple forge will do as well, charcoal or coal as fuel. with charcoal being produced in special building, not from campfire
- level 3 - steel smelting. improved forge and only coal as a fuel.
but yeah, it complicates game quite a lot and it prolly wouldnt be good for a gameplay at this point. but who knows, maybe somewhen in the future
I'd say,
pebbles + hammer = aggregate (basic component of contrete)
aggregate + sand + water = concrete
It's a little more realistic.
That would add another item with only one use. I thought we were trying to get rid of those
Edit: I'm talking about the aggregate, though using concrete while stranded is farfetched too.

Lol, sorry. The horrible thing with writing your expressions is no one can hear the tone. Take what I said, and add a good dose of irony Notice the sarcasm about insulation

Update:
-Steel Items
-Function for retrieving saltwater from the ocean
-Sleep uses forge\cook\fuel functions
-Fix all the ID's on steel items.
-3 new items (saltwater in clay bottle, saltwater in glass bottle, salt)
-Hook that all up to the distilling script
-Additional timer on food before it has the 'burn' chance
-'Dull' Tool Heads, need to be sharpened
-Misc fixes\additions

how about a fix for the cheap burning trees technique
