That's pretty cool. Are they retextured or just different color='s?

On topic: I've added a chance for some tools and weapons to break.

•Added 1 in 200 chance of some tools and weapons breaking during use.

>Currently axe, scythe, spade, hammer and pickaxe for tools. Bow, longbow, and slingshot for weapons.

>Upon breaking a tool, its head is placed in your inventory, and you can repair it with a hammer and a branch. I've gone to all this trouble to let players with limited iron supplies keep their tools.

>Upon breaking a weapon, some items from its combination will go into your inventory. Bow leaves a flexible branch. Longbow leaves two flexible branches and two cords. Slingshot leaves a branch.

it will be like a bomb-shooting vehicle (the bomb ill add myself) but the bomb's drag= will be i think 2 so it will be realistic.good idea isn't it?
the MCV is aborted because of ID problems.

Not quite, I'm actually actively working on it as of a month or two ago. If you read the first post carefully, you'll see I'm making a lot of fixes at the moment.

I've got a beta up for download now, check the first post.

I don't know about raptors, but everything else would be killed at longer distances. Really though.... I would rather stick with the older pointy stick weapons in a survival game anyway.

Next... New stuff:

Might I suggest flint arrows? Perhaps glass shard arrows as well? Maybe a flint knife? Flint spear? I was always wondering why there wasn't an iron hammer... I wonder what an iron hammer could be used for?

I think maybe a rain catch would be cool.... a MUCH easier to construct construction that gives enough water for some bottles every time it rains. Wells are a pain to build... it would kinda like buildable water rocks I guess. I would suggest a desert still, but I believe there is no substitute for the plastic sheet used for it.

You could, perhaps, make a sling. More range than the slingshot, but slower. Sorta like the longbow compared to the bow. Maybe a Hide + 2 Cords? Maybe it requires a higher hunting skill to make so you can't make it too early? You DO require more skill to use one in real life.... so it WOULD make sense.

Sinew. Tendons from an animal can be used as string. It's possible to make a bow using it. Perhaps adding it to a large animal spoils... maybe obtainable from large meat? Meat in this game seems universal, so who's to know what part of the animal the meat's from right ^_^? If you were to add the sinew directly into the spoils then I would say only large animals could produce it. I guess it could be an alternative for string or maybe even vines sometimes. Other than bows I do not know what sinew could be used for. Thin leather strips (Or strings) could be used sort of like vines or strings.... It isn't very elastic though. But I think it could be useful if anyone decides leatherwork is in order sometime. Or maybe not.... Just make the person use a knife and a extra hide with whatever else the combination requires. That would make it plausible to say you used strips without having to go through the work to implement it.

Just some ideas I was thinking about. Sorry for rambling.

Some very interesting ideas. Perhaps the log boat could need some other resources, and only a couple of logs? Maybe.

I like the sinew idea, more ways to bind wounds or make bows and what-not. I wish the building combinations were a bit more flexible, to allow for substitute items instead of making an entirely different building.

I've implemented a hollowed-out log that catches rain, the models were already there, I just had to tweak them a bit and make them constructable.

The sling is an interesting idea, and would be easy to implement. And the bamboo crops sound reasonable. I'll look into it.

And the shotgun, you're asking me to increase the range on it? I'm not too sure about that. I'll have to get a better feel for the shotgun in-game, but from what I remember, it has a very decent range, if a little overpowered.

Any and all ideas are welcome.
