1 ) PNG format
2 ) 100 Quality
If u do that it will freeze ur game since uve choosed best quality and PNG is an good quality format. Wich means that it needs to freeze ur game since uve picked the best quality, The best quality has more "colours" than the normal quality. So if u want to fix that then
1 ) JPG format
2 ) 75 Quality
Even tought u wont get good qualitys on ur pictures but well yeah it wont freeze ur game eather
jpg is probably faster than png as HaRe said but will probably still lead to a short freeze.
I see only 2 work arounds:
get a super fast monster pc use external tools for screenshots. they might be faster because they are running as a separate process which does not influence the cs2d process... or just live with it. it's not a big problem unless you hammer the screenshot key while fighting your enemies...

I think that's exactly what he does.Yet I've never had that with my super slow crappy pc (at least not with standard settings...)
Meh I'll just have to live with it.
