I always recive that msg.

in most cases users just enter the wrong password/username (or their USGN.de password/username which is WRONG!) or their firewall blocks the connection to the USGN.
log in with the same data you use to log in here.
you have to do this because the USGN system became kinda unnecessary and clumsy when DC changed the server host for this site.
therefore the USGN accounts were connected to the US accounts in order to allow everyone who want to use the same friends list they had before without having to re-invite everyone from that list.
the USGN accounts most probably will be deleted in the future so only the US accounts will remain.
