I just bought photoshop CS5 today and, it's awesome.
So I am a noob to photoshop you guys(if you photoshop for a long time) should check out my work and give some suggestion. (they are not actually mine, i just made the effects)

By the way: could you make this a general design threadP There are other nice designing software like The GIMP and PhotoFiltre (Free and Studio X - got this one) that can do nice stuff.

Really dude, you should learn a lot more about making effects etc. This is too easy.
Maybe watch good work and watch videos about gfx etc.

Erhmm.. Why should he? If he uploads something crap would that make you feel better? Look at his maps. more creativity.

Time to post my non-Photoshop crap (made with Photofiltre Studio X). Yes, I suck at editing.
What I normally do is search for renders (yeah, those images with a transparent background or black/white just showing what I want). Then I add effects, text, background textures, etc.

Was my avatar here at us when my nickname was "Rodrigo X". I also got an alternate version of it, which says "Extreme R" (an old nickname I used on some websites).

Man, all this artwork makes me want to upgrade. I've kind of destroyed GIMP for trying to mod it to make it par to photoshop. I'll just have to buy a copy (or I'll just be really lazy and find a torrent for an older version <.< >.>) but I do get paid this Friday... PS3 or photoshop? I'm gonna have to go with PS3. Might even pick up F.3.A.R. or Duke Nukem.
