My "little token of gratitude and a sign of distinction" is the respect I've gained from other posters on this website. I don't need artificial cosmetic changes to make me feel "cool" or "unique", I have the many years of helping budding artists on this site and the resulting friendships that I've earned as rewards.
Besides, animated avatars will just be abused like they're abused on deviantArt. People will upload seizure-inducing flashing avatars, or ones that always move and would be exceedingly annoying.
Noone absolutely needs animated avatars, that, and
DC has already stated that he won't be implementing them, so stop asking or even suggesting that they should be implemented, and as such this thread is unneeded and will only devolve into spam and offtopic posts with yet more drama.If any moderator sees this post I advise you to close this thread to prevent the oncoming shitstorm that will inevitably will happen (considering how threads like these always end up going offtopic 3 pages in with rule violations everywhere)
