Preview Image Capturer
7 comments Yay! Finally the first uploaded, public and absolutely mindblowing stuff from Leaf Production (tm).
So just copy the previewimagecapturer.exe into the main directory of Stranded II (e.g. "C:\Games\Stranded 2\").
Icons are directly saved in the same directory where you have opened the specific model. For example, if you have opened "kiwi.b3d" in the folder "mods\Stranded II\gfx" then an icon named "kiwi.bmp" will be created there or overwrites the existing one.

when starting the program I receive an error message:
[some testing later...]
found the problem, it's because there is no mod folder called "Stranded II" in my mod collection because I separated the german and english versions into "Stranded II Deutsch" and "Stranded II Englisch". (as a real Stranded 2 fan I just need to have and keep both
)
so I think you should also add something that let's the user choose the mod right in the beginning.
and there might be a problem with the Q and E buttons when rolling the camera, I think they are reversed (or they should be reversed in case this is really how you wanted them to act).
apart from that the program works absolutely flawless
and I like the camera-steering which of course is way easier than
Jason13579's icon capturer:
Tool zum Erstellen von Icons [1.3.1] (2) (which still is also a good program!)
but I guess with your program one still has to make a copy of the icon one wants to edit beforehand, in case the new icon doesn't appeal as much as the old one, right?
in this case maybe you should add the same preview-image from Jason's tool somewhere near the icon in the top right corner in your program. this way the user can decide whether he definitely wants to apply the changes or rather stay with the old icon.
