Requirements
Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6, or 10.7
Intel processor
You MUST have an Intel processor for it to run. PowerPC processors (G3, G4 and G5) cannot run it

I don't use mac but this is a very good idea.
I already saw some videos talking about how to play stranded 2 on mac, but the game gets very bugged.

well this one isnt bugged from what i see, no lag for me, and i got to the 2 island with no problems.

Wow nice porting!! Though I can't exactly say that because I do not own a mac.

as i tell every body.. its really simple.. i just did it and made a thread cus no1 has yet!! but im guessing the pointer and stranded logo gfx being messed up may be a resolution problem.. im not sure. ill have to test some things and find out

When I open the game, it loads fine, but then the screen goes black and I get a window that says "Memory Access Violation". I really want to play this game! Please help? (And thanks heaps for porting it!!!)

have you tried to open it again? make sure you only open 1ce. ill see what i can do! thanks for reporting that! as you are probably the first person to attempt and play it

becuase the only people who visit the forums are people who arleady have the game

so if somebody who owns a mac wants this chances are he's not gonna come to the forums and see this

ill ask him about that soon.. right now i want to fix alot of things. but only one person has tried it so far. so. i need people to help test it for me

OMG!! You so made my year(s)!! I just got this macbook from school, and now I finally have an use of it! The game works perfectly, only problems are: No sound and somewhat glitchy graphics, especially start screen and cursor. When i turn fast the screen might blink, one half of the screen is like 2 frames ahead of the other.

There is no sound?? hm.. strange. i will attempt to fix that.
The glitchy graphics like the s2 logo at the start screen and the cursor are really useless for me to pu my time into and try to fix it. so that probably wont be fixed soon. What do you mean its like 2 frames ahead of the other?

Id appreciate it if youd send me a pm or keep in touch about this thread.

Btw. What OS are you using?

I believe you're using Wineskin --> which is basically Wine, that emulates windows' api and services.

     Wine is super supported by the Mac&Linux community however due to the number of hardware types a driver fix or patch cannot be made.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.7 or something like that, don't remember if it's .7 or .6, and what i meant with the frames is that half of the screen freezes for like some frames. Though that might be because this mac isn't that powerful. I haven't had time to test it throughly yet, I just started it and tested a random island. Keep up the good work!

No that's not the case, single this isn't a thorough port but rather a emulation it's easy to see how it might have some errors, the number of errors is dependent on many factors such as hardware incompatibilities, etc.

what are you on about?? i can still rebuild the whole wrapper with fixes thatll make it work. it is possible for things to be fixed.. i dont plan on using wine for long anyways.. cider usually is better

Well, now everything works out awesome! Still those glitchy graphics in some times, but that's almost unnoticeable. The sound started working after a quick restart. Though, sometimes when I start the game or load a game the screen freezes and glitches pictures appear from my desktop or the program that was active before i got the game.

hmm. ill try to see if i can make a wrapper thatll work better for your os, because this was mainly just for me intending to play on my snow leopard, i got it to work just now ned to make it a tad bit more universal and functioning for all.

I try to update my City MOD for Mac OS X if he don't works on it. So if he works on Mac OS X?
