Ideas for CS2D - READ THE FIRST POST (OP)!
3,231 replies Remove Quick Play, it more hinders than helps, newcomers are redirected to lagged servers and that's a bad experience.
Also serverlist must use latency as priority to list servers, not players.
Plus, the "Official" Discord server could be better with more engagement.

mrc:
Quick play already takes latency into account but the sorting could be optimized (players currently have higher priority in some cases). Will do so. I don't think that completely removing this feature is the best idea.
Sorting servers by latency and not by players by default would make people join empty servers (assuming that they are as dumb as you're saying) - which is an even worse experience than playing on a server with high latency.
Regarding Discord: I simply don't have the time to organize that. Sorry.

Oh, thanks! This probably will help a lot.
About the Discord server, it's not your fault. There are other members with roles for that which should make this job for you.

That would be cool, although at least having the ability to replace the base weapon names would make a lot of difference.

Another suggestion would be to remove the text that shows that someone left the server, this causes the herd behaviour, when one leaves, several go after it. It's a fact.
Supporting Bold, Underline, Italic texts in the font would be also welcome.

Changing filtering mode of an image to use nearest filterting to preserve sharp edges. This could be global, per-map tiles, per-entity, or even per lua-scripted
image.

^ Yeah.
The game look pretty good when You play 850x480, every pixel You take care on is visible and it had no blur effect, unlike when using other resolutions.

Filter might be enabled/toggled in the Graphics options and maybe as server setting (same as hud scale? Maybe). In cases when it 0 in the server - it might use Your value. Also it should be 0 by standard and in options checkbox might be turned off.
In cases people using 4:3 gameplay ratio I can't say, but if You use it - the images/tileset looks like some pixels is missing and became unrecognisable

I'm love You - CS2D)
DirectX and Vsync off as default, because OpenGL have input delay and new players doesn't know that.

Does DC going to use BBCode, Markdown or HTML format to making those?

UrNightmaree: Markdown would be probably the best.

I'm closing this thread as I don't plan to add new features to CS2D.
I still want to address the worst issues though as long as it's worthwhile. This includes bug fixes but also optimizations to existing features.
Please use
CS2D Bug Reports to reports bugs/problems
Please don't request new features
